Play Ball at West Town Mall

Athleticademy hosted its grand opening event on Friday, Nov. 1, at its new location between men’s Belk, Radio Shack and FYE.

Athleticademy is a unique service combination of multi-sport coaching with drop-in childcare and sporting goods retail. Megan and Adam Sikora, owners and U.S. Air Force veterans, developed the concept after experiencing the soaring costs and frequent inconvenience of organized youth sports and traditional childcare solutions with their three young daughters.

Athleticademy allows kids ages 3 to 12 to participate in scheduled general physical education classes and specialized sports training in a safe and fun environment. Families are not tied to any specific practice or game schedule, unlike traditional youth sports. If a competitive league is desired, parents can make smarter investments by better identifying their child’s interests and strengths.

While the kids play and get out their energy, Athleticademy allows parents to de-stress with free time to shop, dine, entertain, etc. West Town Mall and nearby businesses offer many great options. Parents can be assured that their children are safe and having fun while they are away.
